Two Hundred Twenty-Two Top Division Goals, 325 Global Caps

The team Vets Over-35s are located in south the city and play in the Cheshire-based Vets League Top Division.

Ex- Senegal forward Niasse, who scored 12 scores in 65 top-flight games for Everton and even now attends their home games, also had his debut versus Collegiate OB - who are located in the city and use an Everton training kit as their uniform.

"My friend Stephen Ireland told me 'come and play, it's good fun'," commented the striker.

"Then he informed me we were playing a side from Liverpool and the surprise I had when I noticed them sporting Everton kits - I thought this is strange for me!

"If you still enjoy the game and you feel you can still do it, anywhere you can play, what are you going to do?

"Those people who come and see are happy and to make someone's moment if they see us playing there and to ask us queries - it's really about the joy of us getting somewhere we can enjoy football, with structure of course."

Such is the bench strength at the club, he had his first game at defender.

"That's a little different but then, I love sprinting and just go forward - I'm not staying back that much," he said.

"I tell my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"The running is what I'm looking for. It's good fun."

Unreal Experience

Along with Cisse's 6 scores on his first game, Stephen Ireland has netted 8 in 3 games for the side, while Boyd scored 5 on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a triple in one match as a striker.

The team are leading of the Premier Division with three victories from three and a goal difference of plus nineteen.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who plays on the wing for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Latics full-back Maynor Figueroa on Sunday - and had to tell his nine-year-old boy who Heskey was.

Figueroa has played at two World Cups for Honduras, in addition to playing in more than 200 top-flight matches.

"The news was spreading like wildfire they had these former top-flight stars," remarked the player.

"I think I was a little awestruck facing Figueroa to be honest.

"Also Heskey came on and he's got 60-odd English appearances.

"Our side held our own for a solid twenty minutes but then we had a player dismissed and it was hard.

"Our group really have not ceased talking about it - I was calling my mother and brother on the journey home.

"They were all dead sound, shaking our hands after the game - it was like facing a group of regular fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the return fixture."

We Will Still Take the Title'

Andy Kirby coaches the Collegiate vets team, who secured the Premier Tier championship last season, along with Paul Maguire.

"Our team scored one-nil up and had a
